Miss Rolph is just the sort of person you need on your team when facing all the scary unknowns that come with a cancer diagnosis. She listens, I mean really listens to you, and then she answers all those questions which just keep popping into your brain, however daft. Then three consultations later after she has seen hundreds of other patients, she still remembers you and what was discussed! She clearly has remarkable listening and communication skills which make you feel special and not just another cancer patient, (which is, of course, what I am). With great skill she smooths the 'journey' so you can deal with each procedure bit by bit and not be overwhelmed. I am very privileged to have been looked after by her and I am sure she has a great future. She and Mr Tasoulis (and all the others I have seen at the Royal Marsden) make a great team and they genuinely care for their patients in so many ways. Thank you. FE

I met with Dr Rolph as an outpatient. This appointment was in relation to a recent diagnosis of breast cancer (consultant Mr Tasoulis). My consultation with Dr Rolph demonstrated excellent professional skills and humanity that was exhibited throughout the consultation. Her attentive listening and very considered response to questions demonstrated being truly present and at the heart of this was the patient centredness. I was undoubtedly very anxious. The calmness and gentleness of Dr Rolph's behaviour truly lowered my anxiety. She also explained the nature of the therapy I was about to start, the follow up planned virtually and in person. Subsequently I have had a phone consultation as arranged at the time agreed. In many respects words are inadequate to describe the excellence of professionalism, competence and humanity that Dr Rolph has demonstrated in my experience. She is a great asset to the Marsden and indeed an ambassador. With renewed appreciation. Anne-Marie Felton RMH 767304
